FAQs
What can I expect during the consultation appointment?
A consultation is a chance for us to connect, talk through what’s bringing you in, and explore what kind of support you’re looking for. You’re welcome to ask any questions and get a feel for whether this feels like a good fit for you. This also allows me to get a sense — if what I provide and specialize in fits what you need and what you’re looking for. The consultation is approximately 15 minutes and is a free service.
Who do you work with?
I work with adult women navigating pregnancy anxiety, birth trauma, and postpartum struggles. I also work with moms who are feeling burnt out, misunderstood, and trying to hold it all together. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, grieving, or making sense of past experiences, you’re not alone—this space is here to support you.
Many women I work with also carry experiences of complex trauma, along with challenges related to hormonal changes, menopause, or conditions like endometriosis, and pelvic pain/chronic pain. Together, we create a space that honors your full experience.
Do you only work with moms?
Working with moms and women within the context of maternal mental health is my specialty and captures my heart. However, I work with anyone 18 or older who is ready to do the deeper rooted work. This especially works well for the container of a 3 day intensive.
I thought EMDR was only for major trauma?
You may have heard of EMDR being used to treat major traumatic experiences like abuse, survivors of assault, or car accidents. Although EMDR does help treat these experiences, EMDR is also often used in treating attachment wounds, core negative self beliefs, and releasing stuck emotions in the body.
What does ongoing therapy look like?
Ongoing therapy provides consistent support and space to focus on what matters most to you.
Whether we are meeting weekly or collaborating through extended biweekly or monthly sessions, Therapy with me is collaborative and purposeful. We work toward meaningful progress, and focus on the shifts you want to see. Extended sessions are a great way to move towards your goals and provide the space needed for the deeper work of EMDR without the interruption of weekly sessions, especially if you’re a busy mama.
What does an EMDR Intensive look like?
EMDR intensives are extended sessions designed to support deeper, more focused work over a shorter period of time. This format can help create meaningful progress and momentum, especially if you’re feeling stuck or want more concentrated support.
Intensives may be a good fit if:
-You’re a busy mom and you don’t have time for weekly therapy.
-You’re ready to experience progress in a shorter, more immersive format.
-You feel stuck and you’re thinking “I’ve talked about this before” and I want something deeper.”
- For some the standard 50 minute session feel too brief to fully honor your nervous system. Extended sessions create the space needed for deeper processing and nervous system regulation —so the work feels contained, intentional, and supportive from beginning to end.
Can I use insurance for an EMDR intensive?
Intensives are offered as a self pay package. You can contact your insurance plan to find out about your out of network benefits and potential reimbursement via super bills.
